  There are a lot of stores packed into this fairly small place. The stores are mostly higher prices chains, some restaurants, and a Metro grocery store. They have lots of free parking with a large portions of it being in an above ground covered garage. However it means you have to walk a decent distance to get where your going usually. Navigating the grounds can be very difficult as there is veery poor signage and direction provided.

  The shops are really high end. The layout of the shops is really nice as well. Its a nice area. Lots of restaurants to choose from as well. They've got tables outside with fire pits.

  During the winter it is still a nice place to go. While I'm not sure about previous years, this year they installed a huge Christmas tree as well as an outdoor lounge area featuring gas fire pits to keep you warm.

  I would recommend Joey for food, but there's several other restaurants. There's also one dessert place. Demetres is going to be opening soon as well.

  That ball that lights up, you can actually walk through it. Its pretty cool.

  Quite an good collection of upper end stores and wonderful restaurants. It's an outdoor styled mall that has been surprisingly successful given our winters. Parking is free and covered so a plus. Great neighbourhood feel while strolling through it. The central section with outdoor patios and grassy area is very popular when the weather is nice.

  In the summer it is perfect, there are tons of restaurants and shops to explore. Outside there are tables, benches, as well as umbrellas scattered around to provide shade to some of this seating.

  After a few years of reflection, I would say the transformation of the ol' mall into the Shops at Don Mills is a qualified success. At least from my perspective, the selection of stores and restaurants suits me just fine. Granted, there has been quite a bit of churn in shops over the formative years, but I feel it has evolved in a good direction; although I am still sad at the loss of the bookstore. And frankly, I personally quite enjoy the outdoorsy nature of this mall; perhaps more restrictions on automobile traffic, granting pedestrians priority and dedicated pathways, would appeal even more to me.

  My only reservation is that I do not know if the long-standing residents of the immediate area are pleased with the transformation to a more upscale shopping centre. Hope so. Don't know if so.
