Architecturally an absolute stunning building and will have to come back in warmer weather to better take in the exterior space. Very well thought out in design and layout and the exhibits are curated with a great deal of thought and diversity. This is one museum one should not miss visiting and the benefit of it being in Toronto makes it a must see.

We went to Aga Khan on 'Family Sundays' and it was a lot of fun. The museum itself is architecturally stunning and the artifacts are top notch. The museum wasn't busy and it felt like a personal experience touring. A few items to be aware of - free coat check, great kids crafts on Sundays, scavenger hunt for kids, $10 parking and healthy snacks for sale. The staff and volunteers were particularly friendly and went out of their way to make our visit memorable.

I've been to a ton of museums in my life and this one stood out well above the rest. We went on a Saturday afternoon yet the museum was not overcrowded. There were so many great exhibits- all relating to middle eastern art from thousands of years ago through today. We enjoyed a complimentary coffee and baklava while watching a pop up performance after taking a guided tour which made me feel like I was at a cafe in Northern Africa. Thank you Aga Khan for providing us with great pieces of your culture!

First visit. There for the Yemen Blues show in January. Found that accessing the appropriate entrance was confusing, still, it is worth the visit. Parking your car? Do bring lots of coins, or credit card, no debit card use. I do intend to go back, during the day, in a warmer time to see the gardens.I heard they are spectacular in the late spring/summer.Other than getting in the building and parking, the experience was well worth it. If you have a chance to go, do it! Particularly for their cultural events, and music concerts. I drove 150 km for the visit, and was not disappointed.

This is a nice museum. The permanent exhibit is really interesting and beautiful and not all the pieces are behind glass or out of reach which makes it an interactive experience. To be millimeters away from a 1000 year old piece of pottery is very moving. The museum often has free cultural events and on the night that we were there 3 men were playing traditional Arabic music at the entrance. The staff in the gift shop were extremely friendly and kind. I will be back in the summer to see the grounds. Tip: it’s free from 4-8pm on Wednesdays.
